Time, Space & Mind

This one is really interesting: we have gone through different situation of life there are some moments which just take over us whether pleasant or unpleasant and then we loose our balance and roll down starts :) And then at some other time and space same events/similar events looses their importance and seams insignificant and do not touch us why is that...! it's a wonder ahoo...!!! :) At some time at some place same event become so big and take over us and at some other place and time it is just doesn't matter to us what a phenomenon what a wonder...! :) For instance for a kid playing with a toy, his toy is everything to him like if the toy is broken life is broke but as the same kid grow up that toy looses its relevance (TOY IS THE SAME). How does it work..... what is mechanism... here is what I think...........

Its simple that when we are too attached and focused of something (object, event or people) then the consciousness is focused and sharp on the subject so much that it looses the contact with rest infinite (whatever you call it Divine, Bhraman, God consciousness or Big Mind). Then, things take over the mind for example when some teens are in love and if they have a heart break the mind is so much focused on that person that it can't see anything else & that personality take over the mind (personality became bigger than mind). That time mind is not aware of the whole universe and insignificant existence of its own and the person who gave the heart break ... :) Now as soon as mind realizes that this body as well as that body & this relationship is going to vanish in another 40-50 years what happens.... its much more easier to detach mind from that person similarly we can be dispassionate to any object, events and people. Actually becoming aware of the whole creation relaxes the mind expand the mind and in the process mind become bigger than object, events and people and nothing take over Mind. Rather in relaxed and expanded state mind can take over anything :)

Now its a trendous knowledge that whenever something take over you and bog you down its simply means mind is not expanded and things has grown bigger than mind thats why mind is troubled. So to get out of it simply YOU NEED TO EXPAND YOUR MIND.

Now question is how to expand our mind...? And While writing the above paragraph I realised this is a trick to expand the mind... As long as you stay aware of the whole creation mind automatically relax and expands isnt it...? And THAT IS MEDITATION. So just stay atunned with the infinite Bhraman and mind will be ever expanded and objects, events and people will not be able to bog you down as they all stay smaller. Thats the reason I think a devotee never get bug down by anything because devotee's mind is always stay in aware of infinite divine so his own mind stay in infinite expandes state and nothing can grow beyond his mind to bug his mind down.... ahoooooooo..... wah... what a beauty what a wonder how simple it is............. :) This is amazing isnt it...? :)

Now its very simple any situation you looses your temper your center simple sit and meditate let your mind expand and as soon as mind is expanded things will become smaller... :) And If you want to grow you mind so big that nothing take over you than expand your mind infinitely that it desolve in that infinitely we call Bhraman or big mind :) keep meditating keep expanding your mind till it dissolve and merge into infinity :)

All glory to my beloved gurudev :)

PS: please do write what you do you feel about Time, space & Mind

yes of course the magnanimity of the infinite will be rightly used if we keep having a glance at the grander picture and evade the small pricky self entanglements.

Marvin Minsky, normally considered as the father of AI, has some related observation on emotion and thinking with unexpanded mind in his book the emotion machine. For him,
1. Emotions are different ways to think.
2. We switch among different ways to think.
He says "If you 'understand' something in only one way, then you scarcely understand it at all -- because when you get stuck, you'll have nowhere to go. But if you represent something in several ways, then when you get frustrated enough, you can switch among different points of view, until you find one that works for you!"
Also, as I understand, he thinks a mind that is using its full intelligence is in maximally aware state. Its a state of all emotional pathways (or no particular emotion).
Mind gets into a emotional state by suppressing some part of the resources (rather than activating something unnatural). For instance, the state we call "angry" could be what happens when you activate for speed and strength and plan less carefully. Replaces cautiousness with aggressiveness, empathy into hostility.

Well the bottom line is.. a mind in meditative state is a mind above all emotional buttons and its selctiveness of thinking ways.. A meditative mind has equanimity and maximally aware and efficient.
So if one is feeling small minded and caught in emotion, it may be just telling you that your mind is struggling to find some solution in a rather crippled way (if emotion is just a way of thinking, using only part of the mind)
If so then Why not, expand with the divine and let it find the best solution that is there for whatever is bugging you. No matter how you look, solution is in looking inside.

Sri Sri University

Sri Sri University Formal education trains people to take up different roles in the society in pursuit of economic growth and social order. With the Indian industry poised to take off as a global economic power, the demand for skilled youth to guide and carry on this pursuit can not be underestimated. Paradoxically, it is confronted with an ever increasing number of educated youth, with mismatched skill-sets: youth with an abundance of technical knowledge but clearly lacking in focus on inner joy, initiative and creativity. Sri Sri University is an international initiative to address this anomaly by developing tomorrow's leaders, managers of change, trained to the industry requirements, with an attitude and skill-set transcending specific disciplines. Inspired by His Holiness Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, students will look beyond their own limitations and share bigger responsibilities as worthy citizens and brim with confidence. In them we may see not just the smartest, but the leaders,...

Focus on Problem vs Focus on Solution

Case 1 When NASA began the launch of astronauts into space, they found out that the pens wouldn't work at zero gravity (ink won't flow down to the writing surface). To solve this problem, it took them one decade and $12 million. They developed a pen that worked at zero gravity, upside down, underwater, in practically any surface including crystal and in a temperature range from below freezing to over 300 degrees C. And what did the Russians do...?? They used a pencil. Case 2 One of the most memorable case studies on Japanese management was the case of the empty soapbox, which happened in one of Japan 's biggest cosmetics companies. The company received a complaint that a consumer had bought a soapbox that was empty. Immediately the authorities isolated the problem to the assembly line, which transported all the packaged boxes of soap to the delivery department. For some reason, one soapbox went through the assembly line empty. Management asked its engineers to solve the pro...

Meditation & its secret-1

Meditation is an art by which one go beyond the reflexive, "thinking" mind into a deeper state of relaxation or awareness where mind dissolve and pure timeless, space less, blissful consciousness BEING which is described as सत्चिदानंद satchidanand (सत् -चित्-आनंद) sat-chit-anand (Truthful-consciousness-blissful) by the enlightened MASTERS. About Meditation there are so many myths and concepts. And the truth is what you experience that is reality for you. Here in this post "Meditation & its secret-1" and upcoming series of post on this title, I will be writing about my direct experiences of the inner journey, the obstacles and blissful experiences which keep coming as journey goes on :) As we sit for meditation what we do we sit STILL with EYES CLOSED that is for withdrawing reflexive mind from visionary senses, other obstacle is auditory disturbances (therefore quiet place is preferable). Now journey start as wondering mind has lost most of distractions which...
