Stop Correcting and start Living

Stop correcting and start living. The whole business of correcting starts because we could see fault with people or situation in the first place. Energy is focus on others and outer. And in the process we loose time and energy to live the life we always wanted to live. Therefore it is more intelligent and wise to start doing the things and start living in a way we cherish our life rather than correcting people and situation. When we start living the life we always wanted to live that makes us happy, while on the contrary when we focus on correcting people and situations, there is deep seated pain/sadness or anguish which propel us to correct things. If we focus our life energy on living and start doing things we cherish, we feel contented and happy. And once we are happy in doing what we are doing and in life at large we find lesser faults with people and situation. In the process we become happy inspiration for beinging positive change which comes effortlessly. So stop correcting an...

There is wisdom beyond every event. There is love beyond every person. There is infinity beyond every object. Sri Sri Ravi Shankar These are beautiful lines spoken by world renowned spiritual leader and humanitarian Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. Though sounds very simple but these few lines are impregnated with vast wisdom which immediately bring the shift in consciousness by little dwelling. Civilization Wars: What is Success Mantra

I stumbled upon this Histomap created by John B. Sparks, was first printed by Rand McNally in 1931. The Histomap describes how different civilization rose and faded with time. Expansion of any civilization represented by horizontal expansion on the graph. It is interesting to note these expansions and spreading of civilization was short lived. e.g. say Roman, Mongols or Greeks etc. Any attempt to expand quickly either militarily or by imperialistically became the extinction of that civilization in quick span of 100-300 years. It seems these kind of military expansion tired these culture and these culture weathered in short span. In this chart only Indian (Hindu) and Chinese civilization has sustained the test of time and one thing which is common to both these Asian giants that they have not gone out militarily or imperialistically around the world. Rather these cultures has spread on different part of the world by teaching and their inherent science of life. This seems to be an...

Thoughts on Women-Swami Vivekananda

“The soul has neither sex, nor caste nor imperfection.” “The best thermometer to the progress of a nation is its treatment of its women.” ” There is no chance for the welfare of the world unless the condition of women is improved.” “Woman has suffered for aeons, and that has given her infinite patience and infinite preserverance.” “The idea of perfect womanhood is perfect independence.” “Soul has no sex, it is neither male nor female. It is only in the body that sex exists, and the man who desires to reach the spirit cannot at the same time hold sex distinctions. (CW ,V.4, P.176) It is very difficult to understand why in this country [India] so much difference is made between men and women, whereas the Vedanta declares that one and the same conscious Self is present in all beings. You always criticize the women, but say what have you done for their uplift? Writing down Smritis etc., and binding them by hard rules, the men have turned the women into manufactu...
