Sri Sri University

Formal education trains people to take up different roles in the society in pursuit of economic growth and social order. With the Indian industry poised to take off as a global economic power, the demand for skilled youth to guide and carry on this pursuit can not be underestimated. Paradoxically, it is confronted with an ever increasing number of educated youth, with mismatched skill-sets: youth with an abundance of technical knowledge but clearly lacking in focus on inner joy, initiative and creativity.

Sri Sri University is an international initiative to address this anomaly by developing tomorrow's leaders, managers of change, trained to the industry requirements, with an attitude and skill-set transcending specific disciplines. Inspired by His Holiness Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, students will look beyond their own limitations and share bigger responsibilities as worthy citizens and brim with confidence. In them we may see not just the smartest, but the leaders, the pillars of society on whose shoulders the future world will be built - Truly global citizens with traditional and moral niceties, broadening the vision... deepening the roots.

Why Study at Sri Sri University:
1. Taking care of the future: Sri Sri University is conceptualized on a vision of Holistic Inspired Education that aims to ready its students for the demands of the Industry and market economy, along with making them into well rounded human beings. Sri Sri University intends to do this by giving them deep roots in the supple and fertile earth of Indian Value Systems, its cultural history and philosophy while helping them look beyond the horizon towards a Global Perspective.

2.
Industry Relevant Courses: Higher education is critical to India's aspirations of emerging as a major player in the global knowledge economy. The global competitiveness of Indian industry and also its employment generation potential is clearly dependent on availability of required skills and trained personnel. Higher education trains people to take up different economic roles in society and spurs technological innovation that drives economic growth.

Some more Q & A

Here are few more Q & A with Swami ji: Q. What is consciousness? A. Everything is consciousness! Whether you can see it or not, feel it or not! Q. What is the purpose of my life? A. On this question, Swami ji asked the participant to pat himself and said congratulate to yourself that mind is opening up and going beyond the day to day life, my job, my family, prestige etc. Then he said I will tell you three things in reference to this question: i. One who know will never tell you the answer. ii. Those who are telling don't know the answer. iii. Keep asking your question and whatever answer comes keep putting them in trash and one day you will get the answer to this question :-) Q. Who am I? A. Again for this question Swami ji asked the participant to congratulate himself and he said again follow the three things I told you in answer before. i. One who know will never tell you the answer. ii. Those who are telling don't know the answer. iii. Keep asking your question and what...

Krishna

5103 years ago Sri Krishna was born. Gokul means the family/society where there is knowledge. If you look at Krishna's life its amazing. As a friend, child, thief, musician, husband, teacher, lover from every aspect He was the best and complete. He was an uncrowned king. We still remember His journey from Brindavan to Dwarka. Krishna said 4 kinds of people worship me a) Miserable people b) Those who want something c) Those who want to know what is life and d) Gynanis. Know that I am not separate from the Gynani. Gynani is Me and I am Gynani. Radha is longing and Krishna is love. Vasudeva ( Ananda ) brings Krishna to Gokul when every one is sleeping. This means when the senses sleep Love comes out through ananda. Rama and Krishna are completely opposite in nature. Rama was born in the noon and Krishna midnight. Rama was always a shishya, i.e. a student throughout His life, whereas Krishna was always a teacher. He was a Guru even to His mother. Rama respected every one. Every one re...
